Hey Folks - I'm new to the forum, and looking forward to learning and sharing info about Droid. I've got a few Droid devices: My phone is a Galaxy S SGH-I897 running 2.3.5, I have an HP Touchpad running CyanogenMod 9.0.0, and my first tablet which I still have is a ViewSonic G-Tab running VEGAn-TAB 1.0.0B5.

I'm not a total newb, but there is a lot I want to learn. The big issue for me is getting the most I can out of my Galaxy S (gen 1) phone. Comporium, my local provider in Rock Hill, has no LTE service yet, and will not sell me a Galaxy S3, so I'm holding off on trading up until they make them available. I know I can buy one unbranded, but I'm entitled to trade up under my current contract, so I'm gonna wait.

So the two big projects I want to pursue now are getting ICS on my Galaxy S, (gonna start scouring the boards to see if that's possible), and I'd also like to put Android on my Chromebook, which is a CR-48, one of the original Chromebooks given away by Google 2 years ago. I have read articles referring to some work on converting a Chromebook to Droid, but haven't found any concrete instructions. Maybe something about that is here too!

That's all there is, and thanks in advance for your help!
KC
