Hey guys,question about a TPU case i bought @ the mall

hey all,new guy here just picked up my 1st android phone- the sensation and i picked up a rubbery silicone skin @ the mall. my question is...since the rubbery material-is not exposing the Lock screen on top of my phone..do you think that pushing down on it everytime to unlock the device will wear and tare on the button itself? im sorry i have ocd when it comes to phones especially when they're new.id appreciate some feedback if u guys can help me out thanks alot
 
I read somewhere on this forum that the buttons have a shelf life of circa 100,000 presses so I think you'll be ok.

I'm using an Otterbox Commuter case for my DHD with a silicone insert and it's not something I'm worried about so it should be cool.

added some pictures to show..by silicone insert,do you mean right ontop of the Lockscreen Button? i tried to take a closeup of mine but u can barely see it but the button is right under the cutout thing of the case,i mean..it is lined up perfect im just OCD and feel like its going to ruin the button after a little while lol
 
I don't see a problem there, it should be fine.

If you're paranoid though, it's worth investing in a decent case for it. I recommend Otterbox, but they're not making cases for the Sensation yet.
 
yeah i was checking out a few cases,just picked this one up i think it should be fine too.the otterbox is too bulky for me, im just so OCD when it comes to loose buttons/things on my phone i need to chill out a lil lol...gracias mi amigo

yeah its like a soft gel tpu case...its a great case but my ONLY worry was that there isnt an open slit where the lock screen button is on top,but there is a very slightly raised rectangle in the shape of the button and its aligned perfectly on top of the button i was just worried the button might get loose from pressing it through the case everytime.but i think i am just extremely paranoid... :(
 
oh alright ... personally, i have never heard any of such issue but if you really am worried, maybe you can try some branded case, if you do like the tpu ones, i am sure case mate makes some case with the same material. having said that, case mate might not have a case for sensation yet. try hard case that expose the top of silicone case, a silicone case generally is a lot more flexible and more rubbery than this tpu and i have seen sensation silicone case with loads of colours.
