Sorry about the rant. Anyway, I's been almost a year now and we still don't have 4g in our metropolitan area of San Bernardino Ca., also the largest county in the whole state of California. We are stiil dealing with your slow 3g bottlenecked network that feels like dial up, a lot of times. I like the HTC Evo but I wish it was on the Verizon network. You keep promising 4g in our area but I call BS! Come on Sprint, pick up your freakin game!!

If my memory serves me correctly, I saw where they promised and delivered on 4g in LA by the end of last year. Some speculated that it would reach as far out as San Bernardino. This was never promised by sprint though. I was just out in that area in January and had really good signal and found several spots of 4g. (Like in my hotel - stayed in Hampton inn)

Keep in mind also that a high % of installations are slowed mostly by local regulations and codes, not carriers like Sprint just not getting to it. I think part of the reason why 4G is spotty is because the carriers can't get blanket approval from states and counties. Heck, here in NJ just go up and down the Turnpike or Parway is about the only way a carrier could get broad coverage with less municipality red tape, but the tape would still be there.

It is being worked on right now. Most of San Bernardino should be online, downtown. Rigmaster said it best. You cant have it both ways. You can't say cell towers are ugly, and I want them removed. And at the same time say, I want 4g, you beep of a beep liars. But if you feel that way, why not go to verizon. I am sure they will get lte in that area, sooner or later.

I feel the same as you... i bought the Epic and two techs and a salesman told me that my whole area will have, "Strong 4G coverage", but I get 3 bars in and outside my house with no 4g. I understand that it can take time for approval but they shouldn't misinform customers.
