Hey there! Graphics guy here getting started

Hey there,

I have some experience making Visual Basic programs and .ASP, but have never used java. I am hoping to make a simple program that keeps track of fighting game scores as my first program. Right now I am watching a video class on Udemy for how to get into android programming. So far so good, it is a bit slow. I plan to make lots of graphics by drawing them, scanning them, and touching them up in photoshop. One of the things that concerns me is image size and resolution. I know that there are many different sized devices and would like to know how to make it so that it appears clean on each device.
