I'm Scotia2 and I'm new to the world of Android.
I started using iPhones from 3gs onwards, as I lived in Japan and they were really adverse towards anything non-Japanese, except Apple (I had held my breath for the HTC touch pro 2 for a very long time).
After Iphone 4s I decided I'd had enough of iOS and it's media restrictions and was ready to convert to Android.
I tried an HTC One for a week and returned it due to lack of sd card slot - I'd kept myself informed on the Chinese variant not realising they'd remove it for the Western market. Otherwise it was a good phone.
Now I have a Note 3 and I'm very pleased with it so far. I'm not sure I'm getting the same battery life that everyone raves about, but I'll take some time to experiment.
I've been particularly interested in Android due to the forthcoming Google Glass. Not for the consumer market, but for the engineering side of things to see what can be developed for it in the way of machine analysis. The more I read the less convinced I am that glass will be the tool, but it's a start.
Thanks for reading and I'll be posting in the forums soon.
