I am a Computer Enginereer and I teach Computer science in High School.
I study Learning Analytics and AI technologies as a phd student.
I used to be a Visual Basic- Sql server programmer-analysist.
To be honest I am not a Unix-Linux-Android fan!!!!!
I believe that technology must be as simple as it can and have to be friendly for mass people. In that way I prefer windows based applications and systems and I prefer every device does best what it is designed for. For example I support simplicity and stability of nokia symbian or windows phones.
Regarding phones, in my opinion, firstly must do phonecalls perfectly and all the other functions count less. I have faced a lot of different issues with android phones that make me very unhappy and skeptic. I can not afford buying 600-800euros phone to have always the best hardware. Recently I bought android tv box from china and have serious performance problems
but....
the flexibility and the numerous functionalities that android provides, are unique and no other operating system can do that!!! The efforts that a lot of different groups pay for developing custom roms and solve problems, are remarkable. Android is a system that give anyone extreme apportunities: for developing, usability, functionality.
I hope all the issues will be solved in near future and android will be popular and accesible for all people....
