Hi All

Been lurking a while since pre ordering my N7 and keenly reading all the posts from others.

Am absolutely loving my N7, has made my HTC phone virtually redundant!

Have slight screen lift but not worrying about returning, will just keep the unit and get a new one if it becomes a real issue.

I am wanting to use my N7 for work, I inspect properties and have pre formatted copies of documents for notations etc and am planning to use Google Drive for offline work and upload when WiFi near or later.

My question is i would like to use a Bluetooth headset to speak the notations using the voice function, rather than type.

Does anyone else do this or have any experience doing it, negatives/positives does it work etc.

Anyway its my first post (did search and couldn't find anything relevant) so please be gentle.

Welcome to Android Forums damien. We don't have "search rules" here, so don't worry about that. I also do property inspections, and your ideas piqued my interest so I also want to follow along with this thread.
 
cheers guys. I went to test the theory and discovered that my old BT headset is bust so before purchasing another expensive set i wondered if it worked or if anyone else has done it or can test it out if they have a working headset?

If all else fails will purchase one anyway and let you all know.

I think your best bet would be to purchase through someone with a rather liberal return policy, test it, and return if necessary. I'm curious as to what kind of results you experience, as well.

By way of headsets, people seem to be reporting minor-to-serious issues with BT 2.1 devices, altogether, so you might want t look fr something specifically 3.0

Just my two cents :)
