I needed a first post as well and rather then starting a new thread might as well add to anothers, I currently have the ZTE Force with Boostmobile running the DroidSmith ROM since the CM10 failed to install, learning about how to compile my own ROMs.
Read articles on creating your own boot animations, replacing system sound files (ogg) files to replace sounds like ringtones, camera click, notifications and exc... learning to use notepad++ and cygwin with the kitchen package and mintty to compile and edit the ROMs. Don't know enough to do major system changes but I understand how to swap the files out and create or find my own sounds(ogg), animations(jpg), apps(apk), and exc..

Hope to have a lot of fun and learn a lot here. Nice to meet everyone and join such a devoted community.
