Hi Everyone. I'm a Fan of U8150 IDEOS
I'm in New Zealand.

I've had the phone for 5 days and I love everything about it.
Sure it's not a $1000 phone, but it's perfect for me.

I will be helping out in the forum here.
(And learning)

So everyone make sure you get a
screen protector, and a gel phone cover, for your phone.

And a second battery is only about $25 US.
I'm searching for a battery charger now too.

I wasn't happy about Apps loading and running and staying in the background,
but I found out it's OK, and Android will shut them down if Android
needs more CPU and Memory.

And search Google for...
"8 Tips to Maximize Battery Life of the Ideos U8150"

I use my phone to listen to Language Lessons in MP3.
And I listen to Paranormal Radio Talk Back Shows.

I also use AVS Video Converter, it's the best,
for converting a 730mb 1:35 hour video documentary
down to 80mb.
And yes, the sound is excellent, but the video is a bit rough at that 80mb size,
but still enjoyable and very viewable.

I also got a three finger strap.
It's better than a wrist strap that might slip off.

Invest in some 'in ear' head phones, they are better.

Oh, and get Swype...

Add Swype to Huawei Ideos U8150 | MyIdeos.com

I will think of more stuff to chat about later.

To all other Huawei Ideos U8150 fans
Have a Great Day !

John.

I also like my phone and think it is superb value for money. Got mine for only around 160 USD, no contract, and the phone can really do alot.

Thanks for the many nice tips, it takes a while to really explore the possibilities with this phone. I'll check out the video converter app.

Whats a gel phone cover, and three finger strap?

An alternative to Swype is SlideIt. I use that one.
