I have just purchased a brand new HTC Sensation XL.

I joined this forum to get some help with rooting the phone, because it seems to be extremely and unnecessarily complicated compared to jailbreaking the iPhone I used to own.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums. I went looking for a root area for your Sensation XL here at AF and came up empty handed. I don't know how different your phone is from the standard Sensation but I would want exacting information before I started a rooting procedure. You might want to ask if anyone can assist you in our general Android Discussion area... perhaps someone there familiar with your phone will have a suggestion.
