Hi from Purbrook, just outside of Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK

Hi from Purbrook.

I've only recently got into Android, and earlier this year I purchased a "Smart TV box" running Android which I thought I could stick under the TV to use as a device to stream live snooker from the internet onto the TV as here in the UK, the BBC only have rights to display a handful of tournaments, but don't show any of the qualifying or tournaments in other countries.

The trouble with the device was that even though it was supposed to support Flash I had a nightmare trying to get even basic flash video or game sites to display in any browser I tried.

Since my old Nokia N8 phone running Symbian was showing more and more signs of ageing (which incidentally I have solved by replacing the non-user-replaceable battery for a new one that isn't bulging in the middle) and given to the wife (she doesn't really do mobiles) I've got my first android phone, and while it is not as powerful as, say, a Samsung Galaxy S5, I'm very pleased with it.

I hope to find out all about android, and I've already managed to Root the device without too many problems.
