Hi I'm confineduser, I stumbled upon this place looking for a way to root my ascend 2 however no guide has worked I've tried the guides here aswell and did not work I really would love to get it rooted so i can modify it accordingly

Have you tried Z4 on it

does it work? (also sorry for bringing the question in here I missed the warning about questions :/) last time i checked i have 2.3.6 so Z4 wont work?

What have you tried thus far to achieve root

Edit: ok I'll take a look to see what we can use shortly if Z4 doesn't work for you:thumbup:

yeah thats fine and no z4 doesnt work either. I've tried using the update.zip method and super user method

OK
First remove everything related to your attempt to root your phone off of the computer you are using(If it is yours of coarse).
Run a disk cleanup-defrag (Windows PC?)
Reboot the computer.

Let me now how it goes. Not sure if this was the one method you tried or not.
