Hi i created an account here coz i wanna know how to root my samsung j1 so i can use 32 gb sd card as internal storage coz i only have 4gb and is not enough. Can you guys give me a link to a guide? Tnx

I looked for a thread on rooting but didn't find a good guide. :( On the upside, looks like someone achieved root in this thread and it appears there is TWRP and Lineage available. Someone knows how to do it, so I'm sure someone with a little Samsung knowledge will stop by and offer advice.

Lineage is a custom rom (think operating system) that is stock. I've used it on other devices and it is really light and stable. I don't remember if it allows adaptable storage (using your SD card as internal memory) but it wouldn't surprise me if it did.

Root alone wouldn't give you access to that since the OS currently running on your phone doesn't support it. AFAIK, no Samsungs support adaptable storage, so you would need a custom rom to do it.
