Does anybody know if the appstore is down? I am browsing but since thursday haven't been abble to download/install any application

No problem, do you have background data enabled?

What is that?

 

[Metroid Prime]

It means Applications can send, sync, and receive data at any time. If that doesn't work, try clearing the cache by going into manage Applications then selecting the market app and you should see the option to clear the cache. I check my market app and it worked fine. I hope this helps.

Go to settings and Accounts & Sync and see if background data is on.
