Just want to introduce myself - daughter just bought an Acer Iconia 500 tablet and I will be getting a Samsung Captivate from AT&T later today. Trying to learn all I can about the ins and outs of the Android OS after coming from an iPhone 3GS.
Daughter's 3GS was malfunctioning, and I was up for an update on AT&T, so she offered to pay the upgrade charge and bought me a Captivate for 1 cent. She gets my old 3GS in the bargain, but will probably switch to an HTC Aria when she's eligible.
Co-worker owns a Captivate and seems happy with it. Son-in-law has had one for a little over a year and likes it fine. Captivate was actually my first choice for a phone but AT&T was out of stock when I was ready to upgrade the first time. Not incredibly displeased with the 3GS but frustrated at the attitude of Apple employees, so that's part of why I'm switching.
Hope to learn a lot about Android, TouchWiz, and how to keep these two devices functioning flawlessly!
