Help Hide an unwanted alert?

With my Pixel 7, the following ‘alert’ pops up when I am on hold. Is there any way to make this blatant stupidity go away for ever?

Good question. I also have a Pixel 7. I did find this for turning it on or off, so it must be the way to turn it off:

When you call a business and you're put on hold, you can choose to let your Google Assistant wait on hold for you and notify you when the support representative is ready to speak with you.

1. Open the Phone app .
2. Tap More. Settings.
3. Tap Hold for Me.
4. Turn Hold for Me on or off.
