Hide Desktop Icons

Hiya....Does anybody know if there is an app that will toggle desktop icons to hide/unhide? I am using the stock Home and don't really want to install a Home replacement as I feel this will take more battery juice and slow down the phone. If this is the only option can you advise which is the best, thanks.

I know you can put invisible icons using Desktop Visualizer, but to toggle them, I'm not so sure.

You need to make your own icons....Make your own invisible icons. Then use desktop visualizer to replace them. Thats what the folks at the Show Off Your Android Desktop thread are doing. They make an entire wallpaper, including the "icons". Then use Desktop Visualizer to put in invisible/transparent images for use as shortcuts to apps. Its done via a little photoshop magic.
