Is there a way to hid onscreen buttons. I just downloaded the Kitkat Camera app and wanted to try it. but the on screen buttons overlay the camera buttons. is there a way to hide them?

No. There's no way.

I wouldn't recommend installing anything to change your phone. Wait for the update from LG. Maybe they'll provide this as a feature.

That 4.4 camera app updated to fix that bug in experia phones. Menu hides the camera buttons. Make sure you updated it. This is an App bug.

I'm using Auto Hide Soft Keys on mine, it works fine. It doesn't "break" anything, certain apps already hide them (fullscreen games, most other camera apps), this just gives you control over when it hides and what buttons are shown.

I downloaded a different version of the Kit kat camera and puts the camera buttons in front of the onscreen buttons. as for auto hiding the onscreen buttons it seems you need to be rooted.

Yes. You have to mess with the phone. I wouldn't.

Just use the camera app that came with the phone. It won't change the quality of the picture itself.
