Help Hisense Pro 7 external speaker problem

trex13

Lurker
I am new to the forums and tablets in general. I picked up two of these for my kids. All software & accounts are set without problems. I am getting a message on the top showing a picture of a set of headphones.

Message had said that head phones where attached(or something similar to that). Originally I couldn't swipe the message away. I finally no longer have the message displayed.

If I plug in ear buds or head phones I can hear everything & I am able to adjust volume. Plays all music & videos I have downloaded into it without problems. Once head phones or ear buds are removed I can't get any sound out of the external speakers.

Checked all settings I could think of but cant seem to find anything to activate them. Never had this problem with any phone or tablet I have used in the past.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

All I can think of are defective speakers or defective headphone jacks. (Unless there's a setting somewhere for "play only through headphones"?)

Thanks for the reply, tried everything I could think of. The other one works fine. Just took it back to the store for an exchange. Hopefully when I set that one up I wont have any issues.

Try plugging head phones in & out a few times as when phones are plugged in a switch is activated to mute the internal speakers upon removal of the phones this switch is de-activated to restore the speakers. In many such cases on similar equipment what I suggest has cleared the problem on many occasions. BOL!
