Hisense Sero 7 Pro question...

I'm thinking of buying the Hisense Sero 7 Pro. My only gripe is that it comes with only 8GB storage. If I buy an SD card, can I just download apps from Google Play and have them install directly to the SD card? No hacking, rooting, etc.

no.
8gb of storage is more than enough for any app you may download. if i have a device that takes a microsd, then generally speaking i'll get the lowest internal memory i can find. because it is usually cheaper, and i know i'll never fill it up with apps. by the same token, if a device does not take an sd card, i'll look for the greatest amount of internal memory. because i know my media will eat up alot of space. i have a galaxy nexus for instance. it does not have an sd card, so i opted for the 32gb version.

the sd card should be used to store your media. videos, music, photos, books. in fact in my experience you cannot store apps on the external sd card. there is an app called link2sd or something like that where you can, if rooted, but i screwed up the formatting somehow.

hope this helps.

i thought about getting a hisense. but then asus came out with its
new 7" tablet, and i thought about getting that. but i spent the money on beer, so it's all good.:D

I am rooted and Folder Mount and Link2SD work fine with a mcroSd card. Link2SD will allow you to move a lot (but not all) apps and data.
