Ho do i stop my Facebook contacts syncing with my mobile?

I have recently started using the Facebook App on my HTC Desire and have noticed that now all my Facebook Contacts have been synched with all my phone contacts. How do i stop this?

menu-settings-accounts and sync, under facebook for htc sense, uncheck sync contacts. Or in the people app, hit menu-view, and uncheck facebook.

Thanks Sitlet, seems i've already done that, but the contacts are still there, is there an easy way (except for doing it one by one) to remove them all from my contacts list?
