Home++ Just added Screenshot!

If you miss CaptureIT from the BB days, or just wanting an easy way to take a screenshot and don't mind using Home++ well this afternoon the new release includes snapshot. It captures great and the colors are excellent.

It's weird though...the pictures captured have no file extension. I tried appending a .jpg, .tif, .png, but photoshop wouldn't open them.

Noticed the lack of screen shots beyond the home screen as well.

I want to take screen shots of web browser and e-mail clients for QA and testing.

Don't want to root my device and would prefer not to install SDKs and JDKs and connect the phone if I don't have to (my company would prefer I don't do that as well).

Hopefully he updates the screenshot function to allow this in the future. The developer of Home++ is awesome; he's constantly adding and tweaking things. I wouldn't be surprised to see improved functionality for screenshots. The fact that he added it at all is a good sign.

From what I have gathered is that the only way for them to add screen shots beyond the home screen is on a rooted device. Been that way for a long time. Maybe it will change in the future.
