Home Keeps Stopping error

Hi, I need help really bad!

I do not have any other launchers on my phone. I only have my default home screen as... Well, my home screen! Only after a week of having this phone, while on my Settings app and changing fonts on my phone, I tried hitting the home button, but it brought up the error "Home not working" or something of the sort.

This happened earlier today, so I took it the the MetroPCS store to get it fixes. The kind lady had to do a factory reset on this phone, and now it's still doing it!

Please, I JUST got this phone last week, and I do not want to replace it!
 
I'm literally having the same problem too, got my phone maybe two weeks ago, same phone and same network. What gives?

I found this, did everything but the reset but literally it will be next

Mine just started doing that too.. It was fine and I tried making a phone call it wasnt loading my home page it just kept saying home page not working and im doing everything i can and its not working
 
So i had to make an account to comment on this since i stumbled upon it trying to fix my husbands phone that literally started doing the same thing after his first alarm less than an hour ago..after some digging i found that no one had a sure fire fix to it other than downloading a new home launcher. I had to pull up that Google thing from the bottom button and literally search for the play store since i couldn't access the app menu. I was able to download another launcher, i chose the cm launcher and it changed the default for home and pulled up all his apps. It's a good temporary fix until there's some answers for the real problem

Go to settings and pick the display tab and under view pick home screen and from home screen pick
select home and from there choose easyHome and it will stop showing home app not working. I just did that right now and it worked for me I can see and use all my apps!

I fixed my wifes by doing a soft reset. Press both volume buttons and off button at the same time and hold them for 10 to 12 seconds then follow instructions or factory reset your phone. Make sure you are not too low on memory also because that can cause it too misbehave. Hope this helps.

My phone just started this too - found this sight and your response to be slightly helpful

this will allow the home screen to pull up and apps to work, however it will not let you customize the screen and move icons around - BUT it was a very helpful step to be able to make a quick phone call "extra Kudos" - thanks a bunches!
 
My son' had this phone less then a week from metropcs...

Like everyone else the home keeps stopping.

Way I fixed it

Slide down settings tab.
Display then change homr screen to easy ode
Downoaded go launcher


So far 45 mins no crashes.

I am having the same problem. It started about 14 hours ago. I did a factory reset, worked for a while then this morning it happened again. very frustrating. only had the phone a little over a month.

So What Should We Do ??
 
If you have An LG k30 (Didn't see it in the list of phones for comment) and are having the same issues, the quickest fix is to download a new launcher. Hold down the center button to set up google assistant if you don't already have it then say, "Hey Google Open up the app store." I downloaded the Microsoft Launcher.
 
I ended up calling the LG customer support and they had me open the home screen settings under display, tap "Select Home", and switch from Home to EasyHome. Saved me from downloading a new launcher and works fine.

The issue appears to be caused by a recent "Google" Update (Not Chrome).
Uninstalling "Google" updates will resolve the issue.
I have informed Google; however, I have not informed LG but it appears they are aware of the issue.
 
Ok, I called MetroPCS and they are aware of the problem and LG is working on it. A patch is coming. Until then, you have pull down the settings, click on the gear, go to display, click on home and change to Easyhome.

My husband and I both had this problem starting this morning. Went into Google play and uninstalled the Google update from last night and it fixed the problem. Apparently there is a glitch in the update.

I created an account here to report my husband's and my LG Aristo 2 phones both lost our home launcher early Tuesday a.m. So we switched it to easy home but we didn't like it because it doesn't allow you to customize your screens and icons, and it doesn't show bookmarks and shortcuts from the original home launcher. So I found this site and we both downloaded the CM Launcher and we like it. All apps showed up and it's been working since. It'll do until the Google patch is in place. Thanks to the person who posted about CM Launcher! This wife thanks you!
