Yes, and no. If you turn on every feature and load the extra screens up with widgets, then you can expect to use more juice. However, the biggest drain on batteries is the screen and the radios. If a home screen replacement helps you use your phone more efficiently, you could see better battery life. If your phone is idle all day, you won't see a difference.
