Help home screen

When I unlock my s3 it goes to the phone. I would rather it went to my home screen. Is there a way to change this?

What carrier and country are you in? Each phone has slightly different versions of software.

No, if I'm on any screen when it lock, it goes to the phone when I unlock. I have to push the homesscreen button every time.

Check your lock screen in settings you might have it set up to open in dial pad you have an option to put any icon you want make sure u have a unlock icon on your lock screen.
