I tried to find something else, but it seems that I am going in circles. I will give you the main link which will link you to others to study. There is only one firm real way to do what you want but you need an iPhone or iPad. Sorry.

It is a long article for someone like me who does not understand all the lingo, but I think it is doable and for $5.00 for the phone app, I will give it a go this morning. (Have not seen if the PC software is free, but if it is not, I will not try it, cause I would not use this, other than to see if it works.)

News, Good News and Bad News.
News: I have Plex set up on the computer and the Phone.
Good News: I can stream from the computer to phone with WIFI. Videos do not work well only play about 13 seconds and start buffering.
MUSIC streams very well!!! Better interface than with AllShare. Love it.
Bad News: I can not get the 3G part to work, 1. because the Plex sign on that publishes my library to the Plex site refuses to work. 2. I can not figure out the hard way what ip address to put where for the port forwarding crud. Might work on it tomorrow. If you get this figured out, teach me.

Good, because I am getting nothing from their forum and the more I read about how to set up port forwarding, the more complicated it seems. Everything I do fails to fix the problem.
