Home wont download to note 8

Was having trouble with updating Mini home speaker to new router. So did hardware reset on speaker and deleted Google Home, thinking i would start over from scratch. Now unable to reinstall Google Home from play store, gets to about 79 percent and halts every time. Waited a day or 2 and tried again, same failure everytime still. What can i try next? Thanks.

OK. If there is still room on the device, you could try clearing data and cache for the play app and for download manager.

Try uninstalling the Google Home app again but this time tap on the 'Force stop' button and then the 'Clear data' button before tapping on 'Uninstall'. Using Clear data will wipe off all the app's stored settings/config files -- using just 'Uninstall' does not always wipe all of an apps data away. Now try installing the Google Home again and see if it works out better. Also note that you will need to re-authentic everything you set up with the Home app previously, that's part of the data that remains when try to reinstall a previously installed app.

Regarding your initial question you stated that you had an issue with your Mini home speaker and a new router. It sounds like you did not just re-configure your new router with the old router's setup configuration and instead just configured it with new settings. If you didn't retain things like the previous SSID/password that does mean you need to set up everything that connects to your home network via WiFi again.

Appreciate the suggestions. So i freed up 9GB, cleanup was overdue. Turned Allow Notifications ON for all apps, just in case. No visable residue of Google Home, not in apps list or GH icon any pages. Went back to Play Store, next down load halted at 74%, no errors noted. Sometimes it halts sooner at @10%, but always by 74%. I have left it for 30 min hoping it starts loading again but no go. I have already synced phone, tablet, tv, all to new router, had no problem until Home Mini speaker became obstanent.

How about clearing data and cache for play / download manager? That has always cleared up download problems from play once the issue of lack of space was eliminated.
