Homepipe is one of those apps that everyone should have. Just like the description says, “enjoy ALL your content — photos, videos, music, and more — from anywhere.”, and that’s the truth. You can literally access any files or directories you choose, and assess them from your phone. If you are not overly tech savvy, there is no need to worry, the set up process for this app is simple; download the app onto your Android phone, and then go to the Homepipe website (https://www.homepipe.net) on your computer and sign up for an account. The sign up process consists of 3 very easy steps; this sign up process is only necessary for the purpose of connecting your computer to your phone, they are not asking for any personal information or anything like that, don’t worry. Once the sign up process is complete you are ready to go! You can now access any file or directory right on your phone, where ever you may be. The best thing about this app is that it’s secure, private, and totally FREE, no strings attached!
If you are still having a hard time figuring out why this app is useful, here’s an everyday example. Today I was talking to a friend about the World Cup that starts on Friday; we wanted to quickly check what matches were going to be held in the next week. I downloaded a PDF file the other week with all the matches for the tournament neatly outlined on one page; the only problem was that this file is on my computer at home. So... Launched Homepipe> My documents> World Cup.pdf> download, and in less than 10 seconds we had all the information we wanted. Of course this is a very obscure example, but Homepipe can be used for simple things such as streaming music from your home computer; this in turn means you virtually have unlimited space on your phone!
I hope this review helps!
