Homerun Battle 3D no longer supports rooted phones!

WTF? The latest from the Homerun Battle 3D changelog:

This version does not support gameplay in rooting condition.
'Unrooting', or 'Disabling rooting' will guarantee a regular fun and safe gameplay.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I bought the game, and now I can't play it unless I remove root? If you agree, let the developer know:

Just don't update. I'm unrooted & updated & there is no difference. But I agree w/ you this doesn't make sense. What would be their reasoning behind this?

Yeah I'm going to email them about this, thats ridiculous since its a paid product.

iPhone users on the official HB3D forums have been whining for years now that Android users root so that they can cheat. Apparently you can get unlimited gold balls or something.

Of course, even if this is their justification it's ridiculous to lock people out of single-player mode as well.

Looks like they got the picture. There is now an update changing it back to letting those play w/ rooted devices.

Yes, I believe they got the message. I'd written them demanding a refund, and this morning I received this reply:

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please expect the next update very soon. Previously blocked users will be able to access the game again.

We are sorry for this inconvenience.

However, please keep in mind, if you do have a rooted phone and have problems in the game with the future, it is recommended to turn your phone back to a stable OS environment.

Oh, so root is an unstable OS environment? I always felt it was the other way around.
