homescreen shortcut not working

Hey, whenever I go to add a website shortcut to the homescreen it will ask me do I want to add shortcut to homescreen, I say yes... it says shortcut added to homescreen but it doesn't work. I check all screens and nothing!!!! what's wrong??

Your browser gives you that option

Select the new launcher from the settings -> home screen option...
