Homtom S16 phone

Hi i have a homtom s16 phone which is working well, but I have a problem in that it hangs up when I try to answer a call. It is a new problem but very annoying as it is happening with every call. Can anyone help me??

Did this problem just start happening recently or has it been a long-standing one?
Have you tried restarting your phone? That's one of the first things to try. You might also want to just re-seat the SIM card in its slot and see if that makes any improvement.
If you have access to another phone (i.e. friend or family) try putting your SIM card in their phone and see if the same problem is still occurring. If it does or does not that might help indicate if the problem is with your phone or just the SIM card itself is failing (hopefully the latter as it's easier and cheaper to just get a new SIM card from your carrier).

Hi, thanks for your reply. It started about a week ago, the phone rings and when I try to accept the call it hangs up. I then redial and complete the call. All other facets of phone and SIM card work well. I have also performed a soft reset of the phone without improving the matter

Could be a spammer spoofing their number so you can't call back. If I miss a call from someone I know callback usually works fine.
I do have a few extremely paranoid friends who block Callback for "Privacy".
Who do you think is calling @lester8512?

Hi, it's not a spammer, I know the numbers as they're in my phone book. It is happening with all calls that when I try to accept the call the phone rejects the call.

Just to repeat, have you tried re-seating the SIM card? Or have you tried using the SIM card in a different phone to see if the same problem occurs?

Or have you contacted your carrier about this? They might have more relevant info about what the problem might be. It could be the SIM card itself is the problem and getting a replacement might help.

If your phone is dual SIM, try to swap the SIM locations. Some older phones require the main SIM to be in a specific slot.
