Hospital Nightmares is £12.30 on Google Play

I'm not sure why this game is £12.30 it shouldn't be aloud. Never in my years as being owner of Android devices have i seen such a price. I hope Google Play remove it from it's store.Surely it's against their terms to overcharge for a game?

Well, if it isn't worth it, then no one will buy it. If demand is weak, then the dev will be forced to lower the price to get any sales. Supply and demand and basic economics will take care of any price discrepencies. Now, if you see it selling like hotcakes at the hight price, then you may surmise that its worth the money.:P

Well some games for PC, Xbox, Playstation, etc, can be as much as £60-70 quid. IMO Android can be a serious gaming platform these days, iOS as well, so why should they not charge a fair price for a game? Especially if it's something serious and involved, took a lot of development, and not just some casual Flappy Bird clone or whatever.

The free market will decide if it's worth it or not anyway, and how well it sells.

FWIW there's some Android games, where you can easily pay well over £100 on in-app purchases.

Devs can charge what they like for their apps and games. :thumbsupdroid:

The Nvidia Shield games are generally pretty expensive, but that's because they're proper conversions and near console quality.

Is this designed for Shield? It would explain the meaty price tag.

Meh, I remember in the late 90s all PDA apps cost $10-15 (so similar price to this) apart from things like medical apps that cost more, and I would impulse buy them because they were so much cheaper than PC software. Now apps are riddled with ads and in-app purchases (which typically cost a lot more than buying a game) because so many people think that software should be free. :(

I don't see the problem. It's up to the developer what they want to charge, it's up to the customer what they are prepared to pay. Why should Google have a rule that they can only charge what you are happy with? Anyway, since the Play Store says "1-5 installs" I suggest waiting a little and seeing how much they drop the price, since this pricing strategy clearly isn't working for them. ;)

Definately the reason I stick to playing Chess and retro like the Super Nintendo and Mega Drive on my devices!! Do agree with the majority though, people should be able to charge what they want for their apps although I could see your point about it being pricy in the event that children bought it without their parent's permission!
