Tell Luke Wilson's to kiss my butt, Download the Dialer@Bar app from the Marketplace and you can make/ receive calls while surfing the web using wifi,This app is sweet, mad props to the dev, its free but I will definatly be donating! Just pull down your notification bar to access phone and contacts. FU At&t, you don't need the app to do this but it makes it much easier because you don't have to exit the web page, just pull down the notification bar.

ummm, I've always been able to surf the web while talking on the phone. Just press the home button at the bottom of the page and you can do anything with it as long as you have 3g. That's been my experience anyways.

I should have stated that I am on the Verizon network, with certain networks you can talk and surf on 3g but not on Verizon unless you switch to wifi, hope that clears up any confusion. ALSO check out the app I mentioned, that way no need to hit the button and leave the web page, you can just access the phone and contacts from the notification bar. This is a Motorola Droid forum so of course this info only is from my experience on my Droid on the Verizon network

you dont need an app for this

If you read the whole thread you would see I already stated that. You DO however need the app to put the phone and contacts in the notification bar so that you can pull down the notification bar and access the phone, if you can do this without the app then please share your information, I'm no droid expert but I can assure I am darn close, I've logged an obscene amount of hours learning this amazing piece of equiptment

It's an app to put the contacts and phone in the notification bar. Nice tip, worthless on my Hero, but I'll be trying it when I get my Droid.

It already allows the web and phone to work on wifi, but the app store doesn't.. does this allow the app store to work during a call?

Also I don't know what you guys do wrong but since day 1 my in call screen has been part of the notification bar

I'm not talking about when you already have a call in progress, what the app does is put the a shotcut to thrphone and/or contacts in the notification bar, so instead of exiting an app, web page, or what ever you are doing you don't have to exit to go to your phone, you simply pull down the notification bar and you can access the phone and contacts. This is my last post on this thread because apparently no one knows how to read, good luck in your life ventures, some of you ate really gonna need it!!!!

It may be your last post - but the commercial that Luke Wilson is in shows him receiving a call *first* and *then* surfing the web while *in call*.

So, you not talking about
when you already have a call in progress
kinda makes
and
Tell Luke Wilson's to kiss my butt
rather ineffective, or, more to the point - irrelevant.

Besides, we know they're lying and / or only telling partial truths in every jab they take at Verizon, so....

That being said, nice find on the app, and kudos for the developer for making something like this, and kudos to you for reporting it.
