Help Hotmail problem

Hi, when i try syncing with my hotmail app it says Authentication failed. Please verify username and/or password.

When i confirm the password and email address it just says the same again!

Has anyone else experienced this, it's really frustrating as i have to use my laptop now to see my emails! Not sure if it's a hotmail problem as they have changed to outlook or a HOX problem?

Are you still using the Hotmail app or have you switched over to the Outlook.com app??

I changed to Outlook.com a few weeks ago and it seems to work pretty reliably. I do occasionally have to re-enter my username and password but that's all the trouble I've had with it.

I use neither hotmail app or outlook app, just the one built in the phone. It's definately a hotmail problem anyway and not a HOX problem. Just keeps asking me to verify username and password then when i put them in it says authentication error! Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It's since they switched to outlook, why do they have to mess with stuff and completely mess it up!
May have to switch to gmail now, it's just a ballache switching my email address over with all my internet banking , bills,etc etc.
