Hotspot security key

By 'hotspot' are you referring to a hotspot app on your phone or a separate hotspot device (i.e. one you bought from your carrier)?
You might want to go into the settings menu of the hotspot app itself and change the password to something you find easier to enter when connecting to your hotspot WiFi network -- just don't make it too simplistic as you don't want others to be able to easily access your network. Some word or phrase that's complicated enough to be safe but easy for you to remember and type in. Also, keep in mind once you've got your laptop set to use your hotspot WiFi, you won't need to enter it each time so in that compromise between security and ease, lean more towards security.

WPA2 PSK is just a designation for which security protocol is selected, it's simply identifying the type of WiFi network. It isn't the actual password you need to enter in your laptop's prompt so it will be able to connect itself to your hotspot WiFi network.

If you need help setting this up, instead of fighting with it you might be better off just taking your phone and your laptop somewhere to have this done for you. Local libraries often have 'tech help' nights, some community colleges have basic tech classes, or even a nearby phone or computer service shop might help you for little to no cost. Or just ask a tech savvy friend.
