How (and what) did I do?

OK - so I'm pressing and clicking around on my Android 2.1 (Samsung Moment if it matters), I'm on the home screen, and I pressed SOMETHING that made a little window of I think it was four of what looked like my most used apps popped up.

It looked pretty cool like a shortcut to my favs or something, but not sure what I did to do it or how to get it back.

Anyone know what I'm talking about??

Press and hold the home button ... will show the six apps last used ... if you have FroYo (2.2) you see the last eight.

Thanks, it's the simple things like this that make Android cool.

btw - is there somewhere that lists all these little tips? Yeah, I know this forum is full of them, but I mean like one page of just quick tips.

None that I recall seeing, but then I generally don't go looking for them. I usually just press stuff and see what happens
