How big is AT&T's 2G limit?

I don't have a good sense of how big (or little) AT&T's 2G limit is. I once used a Verizon card with a 5G limit and burned through it fairly quickly. I watched a fair number of video clips on line. I don't have a sense of how that translates to a smart phone. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.

Smartphones tend to use less data overall, in my experience. I average around 2GB/month myself, with fairly heavy usage. I'm always on Youtube, downloading podcasts, etc. However, I'm also on Wifi at home and at work, so that doesn't get counted.

If you're never on wifi, and are always using the mobile network, you can burn through 2GB fairly quickly.

2GB is 2GB. How you use that data allotment depends on the data you access. "Video" doesn't really mean anything as video files can vary greatly depending on resolution, codec, bitrate, etc etc.

For different people, 2GB is going mean different things depending on their specific usage. If you want a feel for it then monitor your usage and see what 2GB ends up being for you. Or, guesstimate. Figure 2/5ths (a bit less than half) of what you're used to with 5GB.

Thanks for the feedback. I would probably be cool with 2/5 of what I did on the notebook, because I would not watch that many videos on the smartphone. I assume videos are the biggest data hogs. I just want to make sure I am not missing something. If 2gigs covers respectable amount of usage by most people, I should be fine. It is not like I spend all day on the web on my smartphone.
