Help How can I access camera photos or change the default directory they go to?

I have a 32 GB MicroSD card in my phone, but the camera photos and video, by default, go to the internal storage of the phone. When I connect the phone to the pc via data cable, in order to obtain these files, the only thing visible is my MicroSD. I would like to be able to manually access files on the internal storage of the phone, from the computer, or, alternatively, at least change the settings so that the photos and video get placed on the MicroSD. The media software on the phone is very crude and only allows a block download of media from the phone to the computer.

Using Win7, Android 2.3

My pictures automatically save in /sdcard/DCIM/Camera

Where on your phone do the pictures save? Maybe download a File Manager/Browser to take a look at the folders on the phone.

Secondly, how did you install the 32 GB card?

If you installed/updated your phone with no SDCard or something...then the default location to save pictures, isn't going to be /sdcard/DCIM because there is no /sdcard folder to begin with.

After sticking in the 32GB card, did you chose to unmount and format the card, then remount it?

Did you try after that to take a pic and see where it saves?

If the problem persists, you might have to do a factory reset in order for the phone to reset it's settings.

Other option instead of doing a factory reset (deleting apps and all that) is to install another camera app. Like Camera360 or something. In Camera360, you can set exactly where you want to save the pictures you take.
