How can I make Chrome my default browser?

I have a Galaxy Note 3 and I have an app techbargains and every time I try to access an external link through that app I just get an error...the default stock browser will not open it.

So, is there a way I can make Chrome or Firefox my default browser? I am rooted, running 4.4.2 Kitkat with Hyperdrive 8 ROM. I have found several posts about going to settings>apps>Internet>...etc. But in Kitkat there is only app manager>apps and then no "internet".

Suggestions appreciated.

Open the app drawer and drag the default browser icon toward the top of the screen and drop it on "App Info" - this should bring you to the Application Manager page for that app. On that screen tap "Clear defaults" - this should clear any settings that cause Android to use the stock browser by default. The next time you do something that tries to open a browser, you should be asked which of your installed browsers you want to use, and you'll have the option to make that the new default.
