I came from Samsung too. Some things took care of themselves. I have photos saved to Google Photos & music saved both to my computer & a cloud service. So those were easy to get. Plus, contacts are backed up through Google. I did initially use the LG Back Up app. You can download the app to your S4 from the Play store and transfer data through NFC, I believe it was. I don't recall everything you could transfer via this method, but it seemed a little finicky and I had to restart it a few times. Hope that helps.

What will be the best method to migrate from Galaxy S4 to LG V10?
If you bought your phone from a carrier, they should be able to assist in migrating from your previous device.
I know the T-Mobile stores I frequent always offer to do this,YMMV,just ask & they should be able to do this for you.

I used LG backup from note 5 to v10. Pretty simple. Download the LG backup (sender) on your Samsung n it holds your hand through it.

I went from a rooted Galaxy S5 to the AT&T V10. Normally, my go-to is Titanium Backup but that won't work here. I've got my phones set up to backup to Google - when I set up the V10 it gave me an option to restore the last backup of my G900A.... Got my apps back and some of my data. Not too worried about the data part - game high scores and such.
