Help How can I set my phone to not log in to a particular hotspot?

I often use a cafe chain that offers free wifi but web browsing is poor due to an invalid SSL certificate (been that way for ages) and apps can't connect to the internet so I really don't want my phone to connect to this chain's hotspot automatically - and it does every time I go there - but I really do want it to connect to other open hotspots automatically. How can I blacklist these hotspots?
I am on Android version 8.0, Oreo.

press on the wifi and choose forget

Go into WLAN settings and just delete the offending hotspot's SSID.
