Help how can I turn off the start up sound?

My ace makes a loud start up musical sound and similar when it turns off (and buzzes too)

Its really annoying

how can I turn it off please?

Without rooting your phone, you're unlikely to be able to. The sound clip is a system file, and you can't change those without root access.

Have a look on the Market anyway (search for startup sound). There are a couple of apps that claim to do it. Good luck!

Hi,
There is a way, at least for the sound (not the buzzing), but it may effect other sounds too. Put the system volume on 0; all the system sounds are gone.

I went into setting - sound, - volume and moved my slider bars to 0 for both system and nortification - it worked for me no more start up sound!

Go to Genera setting and volume settings and startup tone is ON & OFF.

Couldn't find this General setting start up tone on/off in Galaxy Ace GT-S5830L. Maybe other phones have it but not on this one with 2.3.4.
