How can Turn off my Alarm once it has sounded?

Once the Alarm has sounded (on Alarm Clock), it keeps sounding every few minutes. I don't want it to snooze; I want it to stop. Any suggestions?

While I'm on this topic, is there any way I can control the interval between soundings when I employ the Snooze function?

While my S3 isn't exactly the same, I know that hitting the volume up or down button will turn off the alarm. Also, are you swiping it to off instead of snooze?
I don't have any way to modify the timing of the snooze on my S3. I highly recommend an alarm clock app from the Play Store - feel free to try 'em out and find one that does what you like!
