I press Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Click on the one I want to uninstall and click "uninstall". You just have to select Ok twice and then it's gone. I hope that helps.

Just open the "drawer" where all your apps are located, long press taskpanel until you feel the haptic feedback (if you have it enabled...It just buzzes/vibrates a bit.), and drag it onto the home screen.

If taskpanel is a widget, you can long press anywhere on your home screen. A menu will pop up, giving you the choice to add a widget or a shortcut, etc. Just choose taskpanel. Good luck.
