select the network in question and press forget. Now disconnect and reconnect from wifi and the network should be found again. Select it and it should be asking for a password - enter the new one. I don't think you can change the password without being in range of the wifi network.
Turn on WiFi, look at your list of saved networks and long-press the one you want. That will bring up a menu of options, one of which is "modify". Choose that and you can edit your settings for the network.
Should also work when in range.
It's a good general hint for android - a long press is like a right click, and often brings up extra options But the drawback is that you don't know they are there until you do it (there's no visual indication)
