How do I change my gmail address for my google account

Are you talking about changing your email address for a google account...
(don't think thats possible... although you can change your username https://support.google.com/mail/answer/8158?hl=en)
or the google account you are using to sign into your android phone?
If you do want to change the email address.. you need to sign up for another one and copy stuff accross...
