How do I change text notification or ring tone to mute/none for specific contacts? I have just moved from Iphone to Samsung Galaxy S7, and this is one feature I haven’t figured out. I see how to mute a ‘conversation’ but not a specific contact.
There are a few contacts that I (on my iphone) had a permanent setting for the phone and text notification – as ‘none’. These are folks who may text at times I prefer not to be disturbed. I see you can change this for phone notification, but not text on Samsung? I found how to mute a ‘conversation’ but that doesn’t stick with the contact once the conversation has been deleted. So if anyone knows how to change the ‘ring tone’ to none or silent, for text- not to block, just to not have a tone/notification. Its odd that it is available for calls, but not for text?
I don't want to block their text, I just don't want to hear the notification when it comes at odd hours of the night.
