Help How do i connect my samsung galaxy ace to get internet on my p.c.

Hi All i HAVE A SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE and I have just had my P.C. reset to factory settings. BUT I now use mozilla firefox for my internet connection instead internet explorer and now of I cant get my P.C.to reconice my phone at all. I do the same thing Ive always done, connect usb lead into phone and into usb port on P.C. Then on phone I go to settings, wireless and networks, tethering and portable hotspots. Then onto usb tethering BUT it says no usb device connected. Ive look at some sites and its telling me to download Samsung Kies and a driver and this should allow me to get a internet connection again. I am very new to using a P.C. and I know very little about what to do. CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEASE.:stupid:

You should be able to download the standalone usb drivers for your PC.Check the maker's site for software/drivers updates or download the usb drivers for you phone(Google searches).I can use this Lenovo Laptop without installing Kies but use the Samsung USB drivers pack.

I dont see how the change of browser erases drivers, but a factory reset sure does that job
You have to reinstall drivers, if your phone runs in Kies the most easy way is reinstall Kies and it will get you the drivers when you connect phone.
If you doenst need Kies you can get the drivers. Take a look here
