I need to download a new Linux for my pc and since my Droid is my internet connection, I tried to do it with my Droid, but it would not attempt the download saying the file isn't compatible with the device. I want it to download and stash the file to the ad card and the Linux box can then do with the file as I please. How do I tell the Droid to just download the stinkin' file?

I need a new Linux before I can use PDAnet-it's already on the Droid. However I do want to see if Mozilla has a browser for Droid. :D

Check out awesomedrop.com. It should send anything to your phone's SD card.

Try an alternative internet browser on your phone as the default one does not allow to download files other than Android used ones. Try Dolphin, Skyfire, Opera or any other.
