Help How do I delete a voicemail?

How do I press 7 to delete a voicemail without having to slide my phone open? It sucks to be on the phone with the keyboard slid open, I tried pressing "home" button then dialpad, then pressing "7" but it does not respond. Thank you.

lol, hit menu to light up your phone and then slide up that tab from the botom of the screen or hit menu again for more options. that will give you an on screen keyboard.

Or you can set your phone to go longer without sleeping under Settings > Sound and Display > Screen Timeout.
